Le Parc du Mugel est situé au niveau d'un ancien delta d'une rivière qui coulait ici il y a près de cent millions d'années. Située en plein cœur du Parc national des Calanques, cette rivière transportait sur son passage du sable, des graviers et des galets qui se sont accumulés et soudés entre eux.

We found out about Parc du Mugel from the tourist information who said it was a 20' walk to the park from the office. Perhaps it is if you're Usain Bolt but to anyone else in 30o heat it's double that.. Lovely park, go to the belvedere lookout point , lots of steps , take plenty water the go for a swim in the nearby muguel bay. Read more.

Entre les Secs et la ville se trouve le Parc du Mugel, un ancien domaine agricole reconverti depuis longue date en parc botanique par divers riches propriétaires. Depuis 1982, la totalité du parc appartient à la ville et au conseil général des Bouches du Rhône. Cette côte très spéciale s'étend plus loin au nord. Nous l'explorons ensuite.
